This is bound the end well. The Brits are as proud as they come, and having the US meddle in their internal affairs (no matter how the good the intentions might be) is sure going to help them make their mind rolls eyes.

As an European Federalist, I hope the UK stays in the Union, but this should be a decision made by the British, for the sake of their own people and their interests. Let’s keep outsiders from interfering with what I consider to be one of the most sacred rights in the world: the right for self-determination.

Obama, please stay out of what is a British and European internal affair, thanks!

Make no mistake, I think the kid should immediately be released and probably compensated by the PD / School District for this bullshit, but unfortunately I wouldn’t be entirely surprised if they tried to sweep it under the rug. Just hope he doesn’t turn away from science altogether.
